Welcome back to Term 4! Today (Wednesday 18th October 2017) Gerhard came in and we did some really fun cybersmart! This was with passwords. Remember you should never share your password to anyone because it's your privacy. We used flipgrid to record a video and add a photo of us on the front. We also used Google Drawing to write a scenario about something that could happen online. Enjoy the flipgrid that I created....

Collaboration

Kia Ora Bloggers,

Today we had Gerhard in our class. We did some cyber smart working on collaboration and working together. We did a really cool google drawing about collaboration. Collaboration means working together as a team, in other words teamwork. This is important online because you could be working with anyone from any country in the world or any school. Collaborating can be used at any time in life, for example if your building something. Please enjoy my drawing and the rest of Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori / Maori Language Week.

Cybersmart : Digital Footprint, Google Images

Today (Wednesday 21 June) Mr Hopkins came in and we did some stalking. It was really fun. We searched each other up and checked how many of the people in class we could find. I found everyone in the class and because I had some space I added some teachers. I found a photo of myself and I wasn't surprised because I posted that on my blog. Some people in the class found photos of them they didn't know was online! This lesson was fun and was exciting to see. I found a picture of my brother. Here is the drawing where we did the work. Killeen Class - Where are we from? ~ Map

Hi Blog World,
Today we have been doing Cybersmart with Mr Hopkins. We have been using google maps to pin where we and 1 member from our family are from.
How far have some students travelled from their place of birth to reach HPS?

Faisal has travelled 13, 243 km to come to Hay Park School.

Why do people make the choice to move to different countries?

I think it is because they have family.

How many people have parents born overseas?

From our class we have 9 people who have their parents born overseas

Is this a trend in NZ society? What does the media tell us?
New Zealand has 40,000  people living in north shore.

Task Card

Hi Blog Word,
Today we have been doing cybersmart with , Mr Hopkins. We have been talking about people stealing other peoples passwords and sending really nasty emails. This is my task card. There are some question you could  answer in the comments.  Something I found tricky was making up the questions.

- I would talk to someone I really trust such as, teachers and family.
- I think they might do this because you might have done something to them. Some people do cyberbullying just for fun ( even if you haven't done anything to them).
- Talk to a teacher about it, they might be able to stop the bullies.
- Talk to your pirncipal and family, they will be able to help you.

On Wednesday the 23th of September. I made a comic that showed cyber smart, I did this on my own but Mr Hopkins was showing us how to make one.
